The fresh air tasted delicious after the staleness inside the pub but it was bitterly cold.
“It’s snowing, see?” Ren pointed to the streetlamps where tiny silvery flakes danced on the breeze.
“Oh, yeah… God, it’s cold.”
Ren slid her arm around me and whispered, “Better?”
I gasped, the close contact sending my heart racing.
